Sign-up and Subscription Model:

Start your first step by signing up. Create your account for free. We take your fund-raising work very seriously. Hence, we have carefully developed the signup form that will provide us with a detailed information about your startup. Each information requested will go a long way in understanding about your journey thus far which will enable us to put you with the right investors. Providing accurate information will not only place you with the right et of investors but also helps the investors gain confidence and credibility.

For Founders from Institutions (such as Universities and Colleges), we have added a dedicated section where details regarding your sponsoring Professor and recommendation letter from the University is requested. This is very important for students. On a daily basis, hundreds of proposals pass through investors desk. Without proper reference, it is highly unlikely any Investor would consider your proposal. Hence, in the absence of a strong LinkedIn network and referrals, it is imperative to have a strong referral from your Institution and Professors. This feature can also be used by the Alumnis of an Institution.

Free: When you sign-up for free, you will be able to avail the core service of fund raising and use of CRM software for pitch deck hosting, tracking Investor responses and manage your entire fund raising process absolutely free of cost. This is aimed at providing you access to our Investor database, upload your pitch deck, reach to limited number of investors every month and if you are lucky, you can even secure funding absolutely free of cost. Under this subscription model, you will have unlimited access to all fund raising resources from our library such as blogs, latest market updates, resources, new letters etc.

Paid Subscription: With out paid subscription, you will be able to raise funds faster by 5X. Immediately after sign-up if you opt to leverage full potential of our CRM Software and all resources and tools at our disposal, gain access to our 100000+ world-wide investor database, gain access to all the tools (such as curated pitch deck templates and designs from some of past successful Unicorns), financial modelling, budgeting and a host of templates, and avail Partner’s services to handle every needs of your business, you may do so by joining our paid subscription model. With our paid membership you will be able to reach out to all the investors from our database 5 times faster with efficiency, download all templates and design works, financial models etc. and avail Partner’s services. FMPG Software:

A lot of thought have been put in to develop a software that will serve the major purpose of fund raising and be user-friendly. It is an all encompassing software that caters to all the aspects of fund raising and beyond. Upon successful activation of your account and having subscribed to our premium subscription, you will be directed to your Founder’s CRM, where the real work happens. The following section will provide a quick walk through of the all the tabs in the Founder’s CRM.

Founder’s CRM:

Founder’s CRM is the first section. It has three main Tabs. The dashboard, My Prospects and My Service Requests.

Dashboard:

The dashboard provides you with the latest update of all the moving parts of the fund-raising activities.

The dashboard is divided into three sections. The first section provides the status of your pitch deck that was forwarded for the Investors. It shows the stats of how many Investors were contacted, how many reviewed the pitchdeck, how many had shown interest and how many had not shown interest.

The second section shows the status of your Prospects. Prospects are Investors that are mapped by our software based on 4 key criteria (such as Investment Domain, Investment stage, Geographical location and ticket size). It also provides a Queue section where, filtered prospects which are yet to be sent will be shown. As every investor had limited the number of Pitches which they would like to review during every week, If an investor is already loaded with maximum proposals, your proposal will be queued.

Third section of Dashboard contains the status of all the service requests raised by the Founders. It has both Core and Allied service requests and any other IT or internal requests which were raised with FMPG teams. Our services run of strict SLA’s which are detailed in the respective sections.

My Prospects:

This is one of the most important pages which you will need to get familiarized with. This is the page from where you will reach out to all your prospective Investors. Based on the funding needs you have signed up for, our Software will filter Investors who would be interested in your project and provide the list in this section. Out of the list, you will be able to select 15 Investors and send your pitch deck. The Software is perfectly integrated to track activities of Investors relating to your submitted pitch. You can track the status of the pitch decks from this page. The meaning of each status is provided below:

Contacted When Pitch deck was sent to the Investor
Reviewed When the Investor Opened the link
Waiting No response after Opening the link for more than two weeks
Interested When Investor showed interest in your Pitch
Interest not aligned When the Investor rejected your Pitch
Queued When number of proposal to the Investor had reached the limit
Cold The status moved to cold after one month of no response

The number of investors at any given point in time you can reach has been restricted to 15. This is carefully crafted for the following reasons:

  • Not to exhaust all the options in one go without having a chance to learn what Investors are looking for and change the pitch.
  • Avoid getting an overwhelming amount of responses being received from many Investors.
  • Unable to revert back to the Investors for any additional information requested by them on a timely manner.
  • It will be unprofessional to reject many Investors who might be interested when your funding needs were met initially

However, we will not wait for getting response from all the Investors for whom the Pitch was sent. Once the count of active Investors fall below 10, you will be able to immediately add more Investors and send where the total active Investors will be up to 15. The count of active Investors are calculated as below:

Investor contacted- Investors rejected- Cold <10.

Further, we have also put additional controls to ensure that all materials are checked-in before you send your pitch to the Investor. In order to send the pitch to the Investor, the following items needs to be checked-in

Pitch deck should be locked

Outreach email should be ready

Service Requests (SR) Status:

Service requests that you would be raising are of two types: (i) Requests regarding Partner’s service and (ii) Requests regarding your account, subscription, access, etc.

Partner’s services are categorized into Core and allied activities. The SR will be listed according to the Services Requests number-wise. Once the service is completed, Partners will raise a work completion/acceptance request. Your acceptance or rejection of the work completion will be replied to in this tab. If a Founder has not replied within three days with acceptance/rejection, a reminder will be sent. If the Founder has not responded by the end of one week from the date of raising the request, then the SR will be deemed accepted and the SR will be closed. Please note that your rejection of work completion should be properly justified and substantiated with fair expectations. Along with the acceptance/rejection, you may also rate the services provided by the Partner on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being best.

Please note that these Partners put in their honest work in making your dream come true. Always have an open communication and set the scope of services, timelines, and expectations very clearly to avoid any hassle.

The second set of SRs are purely internal, relating to your membership with FMPG, subscription, your account-related requests, or any issues if you must face relating to the Software (which we don’t anticipate). We value your time and hence, we follow a strict SLA of up to a max of 24 hours to revert from the time an SR is raised. Our backend team will endeavor to resolve your issues at the earliest.

Pitch Deck Hosting:

In this tab, you will find all the tools necessary to prepare your pitch deck, get it reviewed by our team of experts, find templates that you can use while preparing your pitch. You can also find the cold email templates to structure your eye-catchy emails that get the attention of the Investors.

Deck Creation/ Upload:

If you had already prepared your deck and is ready to go, you can upload your deck via upload deck button. If you have not completed your deck or don’t know where to start, don’t worry! We have developed a host of templates to choose from. You may browse through and choose the right one that fits your business needs and goals. Generally, a detailed pitch deck and related materials consists of the following:

Pitch Deck

Cold email (This will go as an email to the Investor)

Market Analysis (If separately provided)

Financial Models (If separately provided)

Other research papers/ Proto-types/ Manuals

It is suggested to include a short synopsis of all above parameters as a part of your pitch deck and keep the detailed analysis when you received Investor interest. At the initial stage, you may upload the pitch deck and the cold email. However, it is imperative that you keep all other documents readily available.

Deck Designer Template:

In case if you need some help and want to customize your deck, we have gotten a library of templates to choose from for specific aspects of your pitch such as market projections, growth, P&L, Subscription, Competition Analysis etc. Along with our pre-defined deck templates, you may customize any parameters according to your preference using the templates and slides which we you can find in this section.

Deck Review:

We take your project very seriously. Every pitch deck that is uploaded on to our platform is personally reviewed by our expert team who review your deck and provide a honest opinion about the deck. The idea behind the review is only to ensure that all aspects of the pitch which an investor would be looking for has been covered. This is not a quality or substantive review. We also do not advice on the contents of the deck.

You can find our review comments in this tab. If there are any files uploaded or any corrections made to your deck, you may also download the version from this tab. Similarly, when the Investor reviewed your deck and asked for additional information, the same will be appearing in this section.

Deck Lock/ Release:

Every deck that been reviewed and cleared by our team will be locked by our team. Once locked, the same will appear in this tab. Please note, that pitch cannot be forwarded to the Investor (Under the Prospects tab) unless the same is locked. Similarly, once the pitch is locked, you cannot make any changes or upload another version of updated deck. If in case you want to add new information or change the existing information, you need to raise a request in this tab to unlock the pitch. Upon receipt of the request, our backend team will unlock the pitch, which will enable you to edit or upload an updated version of the pitch.

Outreach Email:

We all know that first impression last longer. A very important part of the pitch is your outreach email. The first two minutes while the Investor goes through your email he makes the decision whether to look into your pitch or skip it altogether. Hence, it is extremely important to have an impactful email which is short crisp and covers all that an investor wants to see. You may draft your outreach email by taking guidance from our sample templates.

Investor Database

Explore our vast Investor database. This Investor database is updated periodically with new additions and modified to reflect the latest investment themes and priorities of the firm. Two different levels of access are provided for our Investor Database.

First: A static limited database of 250 Investors is available for the free membership, where you can reach out to the Prospective Investors to a maximum of 3 per month.

Second: Full access to the database for Premium subscription. Where you can reach out to 15 Investors at any given point in time. Fund raising is made 5X faster here. As and when the active Investor reached falls less than 10, then immediately the founder can add 5 more Investor to reach.

In addition to the filtered prospects which our software picks for you, you can add additional Investors from the database and add it to your prospects. These can be queued and reached out based on your priority liking

While you may want to reach out to as many investors as possible, you need to understand that Investors may not be interested in your pitch if it is not aligned with their investment themes. Hence, we kindly request you to use this tool responsibly.

Our software is user friendly and flexible that you can also add Investors who you are pursuing outside the platform (if they are not already available in the platform). You can add Investors to our database (If not already found) and we will conduct our basic due-diligence and add it to our database. You can consolidate all your search through our platform.

Library:

Scientia mean ‘Knowledge’ in Latin. The founder’s passion and unending quest in search for the knowledge had what led them into finding this FMPG. The section is divided into two sub-section.

In the first section we have uploaded an array of tools which will help you in fund raising activities.

Financial models differ from business to business. We have developed templates that suits multiple business models. Explore and leverage the knowledge base we have developed for your benefits.

In the second section, we have provided you with knowledge base that are necessary for you to be updated with irrespective of your background. In this section we have provided with articles and concepts that are essential for any founder who are serious about fund-raising.

You can read and know about the latest happening in the startup market, concepts which are new to you relating to fund raising and presenting your pitches. Watch videos and read blogs which our Partners had contributed to the knowledge base. Spend time in reading the blogs and watch videos and explore the contents. It will provide a view on the knowledge depth and appealability of the Partner’s capabilities and approach. This will help you in selecting Partners with whom you want to work with.

Under free subscription founders will have access to the entire second section of the library. Under Paid subscription, you will have access to the entire library.

Partner’s Hub

FMPG is launched with the sole purpose of making this platform a one stop solution for all your business needs. To this end, we have developed a Partner’s Hub. It is your personal directory of all Professional services for all your business needs.

Partners are specialist in their respective field of expertise who will be able to help you in the fund raising activities (such as preparing Pitch deck, market analysis, competition analysis, projections, financial models and any other services) which is pertinent for putting your project across to the investors. These activities are classified as Core Activities.

We have taken due care and diligence while on-boarding these Partners. These Partners are well reputed firms and graduates from Top Universities around the world with specialization and professionals with excellent track record in various aspect of fund-raising activities. You can check their Profile and select the Partner you would wish to work with.

In addition to the above, we have on-boarded Professionals who can also help you in other activities that are essential for getting your business going (such as Accounting, HR, Payroll, Taxation, Compliance, Legal, IT, Marketing and any other services). These activities are classified as Allied Activities.

Partner’s Service Requests is purely a paid service which can be availed based on your budget availability. Payment arrangements will be between the Founders and Partners. We are providing this service mainly to ease out the effort and time of founders which otherwise could be used in your core activities of business.

You can filter for the category of services you want to avail. The software will list the Professionals that are available to serve you in their respective areas of expertise. You can choose the Partner and raise your request with them. Within 24 hours, you will be notified regarding the Partner’s acceptance or rejection and you will be able to work with them. Please do your own due-diligence such as LinkedIn search, reviews before engaging with a Partner.

Upon completion of the services, the Partner will raise a request for Service Completion. For service acceptance/ rejection please refer to the My SR Status Tab.

This Partner’s services can be availed only by Paid Subscriptions.

Profile

Founder’s profile is provided on the right hand top corner. Any changes to the same can be done in this section. All aspects relating to your accounts right from your profile, changes to the email ID, startup name, Password etc. can be changed here. For the ease of convenience, any Service Requests you want to raise relating to the IT systems or reach out to the backend team for any support, you may do so by clicking the service request tab in this section.
